Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding a piano in her attic and becoming enthralled by the sounds it would create. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music as a passion rather than a profession. So she started writing her own songs. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mom encouraged her to play her music publicly, not so that she could achieve fame, but rather to let others know how important they are and the good they do to make a difference in the world. At age 6, she began to play the piano, and when she was nine was writing music. Her family didn't know until the age of 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream.
